Powergreen’s KOPERNIK Internship: First Batch Completes Training

Developing Qatar’s Renewable Energy Talent

The first two interns have successfully completed their KOPERNIK training with Innovations Unlimited ME (now Powergreen) in 2014. Launched earlier that summer, KOPERNIK is a renewable energy internship program designed for electrical engineering students in Qatar, providing them with hands-on experience in the sector.

Practical Learning for Future Engineers

KOPERNIK focuses on building a skilled local workforce, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world projects under local conditions. The program includes:

Onsite training with project managers and engineers
Exposure to solar and renewable energy technologies
Participation in system design, inspections, and implementation

By the end of the program, interns complete an assignment based on a project of their choice, reinforcing their practical takeaways.
