Kahramaa Awareness Park receives the prestigious Energy Globe Award Qatar 2015, recognizing its innovative approach to sustainability and education.

Recognizing Sustainability Leadership

On June 10, 2015, Kahramaa Awareness Park was awarded the National Energy Globe Award Qatar 2015. Designed as a science museum, the park educates visitors on energy conservation, water efficiency, and sustainable living. This award highlights its role as one of Qatar’s key sustainability landmarks.

Innovations Unlimited ME’s Contribution

Powergreen, then known as Innovations Unlimited ME, submitted the project on behalf of Kahramaa – Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation. The company installed three renewable energy systems to support the facility’s energy needs:

• 63.3 kWp photovoltaic system for solar power
• 41 m² of solar water heating collectors
• Three 10 kW wind turbines

Together, these systems offset over 37 tons of CO2 annually, reinforcing Qatar’s clean energy initiatives.

Kahramaa Awareness Park is built with recyclable materials, offers noise insulation, and minimizes indoor pollutants. It is not just a facility—it is a model for sustainable construction and education, shaping the next generation’s understanding of renewable energy.
